Witness: means to be there and be able to answer any questions concerning the place that they were at.
Indict: When the grand jury finds more than enough evidence to bring you to trial.
Testify: means to tell the truth of any question about the evidence normally in court.
Grand Jury: The grand jury is made up of 12-23 people and their job is to find out if the evidence is right and the person on trial should be the accused.
Due Process: how and why laws are enforced.
Capital Punishment: a crime that might end in a death sentence.
Excessive: over reacting, more then necessary.
Bail: is an amount of money used to get someone out of jail.
Peer: a peer is a person that is equal to another in a lot of things.
Write a paragraph (5-7 sentences) answering the following questions:
Do you believe that people accused of crimes deserve all of these rights or just some of them? Why or why not?
I think that some people deserve those rights and other people should only get some of those right. People who steal things normally just steal things because they need that item or they just don't have the money to get it they normally get away with like a warning. But someone who really hurts or kills someone should not get those rights. They need to be proven guilty and then they need to go straight o jail they should not get the choice to pay a amount of money and then be good until they hurt someone else.I think that they should get some rights, the ones they deserve but that's it.
